Normafa Hotel is a 4 star hotel in Budapest. This hotel is located on the Buda side of the city in a pleasant leafy area. The surrounding nature is forested and the high setting above the city is a popular place for winter and summer sports. A bus stop outside the hotel makes for easy transportation to the centre of town and the metro and tram system. A good hotel 4* ideal for those looking to enjoy Budapest in a quiet rural area, but still be close to the city. The Normafa has excellent leisure and relaxation facilities including a new spa with sauna and steam room. There is also a small gym, a play room with billiard table and table football and a beautiful outdoor heated swimming pool which is open between 1st May and 30th September each year. This is the perfect hotel for families to stay in as there are plenty of activities for children and lots of space surrounding the hotel. There is also free parking and there are conference facilities. This is a 3 story building similar in style to Austrian chalet homes with white walls and timber frame - a pleasant looking building. Recently renovated the lobby is modern and stylish. Painted dark red, the reception desk is to the left as you enter, there is a retro chandelier light hanging in the centre of the room and a low lying sofa to the right for guests to relax in. A very smart entrance to the hotel. The hotel has two restaurants. One is located on the ground floor and overlooks a covered terrace, the swimming pool and the surrounding green land. The second restaurant is on the other side of the hotel and is a grill restaurant serving a good selection of meat dishes and more. Both restaurants offer a good selection of food for both lunch and dinner as well as a good wine menu. The rooms are modern and well appointed in neutral colors. They are of a good size and offer all the facilities expected of a good 4*modern hotel including satellite TV, safety deposit boxes and wireless internet connection is also available in the rooms. The swimming pool is closed during the winter months from November to the end of April. All other fitness and wellness facilities are available for use. 10 km to the nearest fair site (hungexpo), 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 28 kms to the nearest airport (ferihegy), 5 km to the nearest station (deli palyaudvar), 6 kms to city centre.

I have stayed in this hotel twice. The staff if friendly. the rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel has a great feel. The breakfasts are outstanding. It is a bit out of the way, but easy to get to the city center by bus. I highly recommend this hotel for families with small children as well. It has a great playground and the surrounding nature areas are great.
