A disappointment

We had booked this hotel for the first part of our honeymoon in Hawaii. Our "honeymoon suite" consisted of 2 hard double beds on the 35th floor in a small room...not much of an upgrade and certainly not very romantic. The decor was very out-dated and there was no screen on the patio door. On top of this, we had to pay $10 per day for in-room internet and $15 per day for parking. The location was convenient, but apart from that, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially not those celebrating a special event. The staff did NOTHING to make this occasion special for us. Thankfully we had much better accommodations and service on the second half of our honeymoon in Maui.

Pacific Beach Hotel

Yes, we would recommend this hotel to friends and family. It was great value for the money. The rooms were a bit dated but were larger than most hotel rooms in Waikiki and very clean. Even if you were not on the front of the hotel, each room had a view of the beach. The service was great and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and just about anyone's choice for breakfast was available. The service from the staff was A 1. All our expectations were met. Very good location - directly across the street from the beach. About the only thing you could complain about was that the elevators were a bit slow but given the age of the building it is understandable.

Real Deal-Pacific Beach Hotel

I highly recommend this Hotel. Since it was booked from skoosh.com, it was a prepaid and all I had to show was my picture ID. Checking-in took only 3 mins max(I called the hotel the day before my arrival to confirm as suggested by a skoosh representative). The rate included a fabulous breakfast buffet in their Oceanarium Restaurant. I enjoyed the 3-story aquarium while eating my breakfast. The hotel room given to me on the 16th floor was spacious and clean. It came with a balcony with partial ocean view. The hotel is just across Waikiki beach. The hotel lobby included various shops ,ABC store(convenient store),Crepe shop and Haagen Daz ice cream shop. On the left corner of the Waikiki Beach entrance is the gate to St Agustine by the sea Catholic Church. I am so happy I booked with Skoosh.com, i got a real deal in Paradise!!!!

Pacific Beach Hotel is Fantastic

The location is just great, cross the street and you are already in Waikiki beach. Shopping Centers and other Points of Interest is very accessible, you can walk to these places or take the bus, taxi or trolley. Complimentary breakfast at the Oceanarium is gastronomical. Service is just great thanks to all the people that works here in this hotel for making this vacation just wonderful.

Much better than expected

Would definitely recommend to all but the richest, pickiest travelers. The location was wonderful! The employees were considerate, patient and very helpful. The furnishings were showing a bit of wear but that was the only negative I can think of. We upgraded to an oceanview and the views of Diamond Head and the ocean were spectacular from our 35th floor balcony. (There are two towers but I know nothing about the other tower.) We thought it was an excellent value. To us, it was not inexpensive and it was worth every penny. Were our expectations met? YES! The quality of our accomodations greatly exceeded our expectations.
