Yes its true about the noise in the morning from the trash trucks...But they gave us a room with a balcony with ocean view that was great. The location is great so close to the bars, stores and the beach. And the staff were so friendly. So it's really a great deal for the money.

Rooms have been recently & very tastefully refurbished.
Great location at the quiet end of Waikiki. The hotel is a 15 min walk to downtown Waikiki and sits right on a small & sheltered beach. Great for kids.

Beachside restaurant provides excellent meals. Bookings essential.
Tours & excursions & hire services can be booked in the hotel lobby through a very friendly & knowledgeable booking agency.
Excellent service & v friendly & helpful staff.
Small general store close by.

I would happily recommend this hotel to others. The only slight disappointment is the restaurant options in the hotel. The Ilima breakfast restaurant is very average, and they have seriously awful coffee. The Korean restaurant looks lovely, but is a bit expensive. The hotel is very good value for money - the location is fantastic. It is away from the main pedestrian traffic street, but is only one street back from absolute beachfront. The facilities in the hotel are good - pool, bar, etc. It would be useful to have wifi in the rooms, rather than only in the lobby, but that worked OK. My expectations were met, because I have stayed in the hotel before.

if you want somewhere a minute's walk from the beach yet away from the congestion of waikiki this is for you. it is a pleasant fifteen minute walk into the main shopping/restaurant area of waikiki. but there are a couple of very nice restaurant's nearby ie michel's. there is also a convenience store next door. the room we had was a premium diamond head view and was really clean, comfortable and quiet. did not find the lack of a pool a minus as the beach nearby is really lovely. we got a continental breakfast in the restaurant and were served by a really lovely and helpful person called denise. so to summarise the hotel is really good value and relaxing to stay in and all the staff were super helpful.

I would recommend this hotel for those who want isolated place and lent a car to access other area of Hawaii.

Impressive point was Dolphin Quest and disappointing point was there is no other restraunt around except 3 inside of hotel. Without car it's hard to go other nice places.

It was a good value for money and met my expectation.

For the young honey moon couple like me, other hotel located near Yaikiki beach would be better, though it could be quite busy around there. This hotel will be good for old couples and family.

I would recommend this hotel. It is very conveniently located within walking distance to Waikiki Beach, Luxury Row, and various other shopping/eating establishments including Roys, Duke's, PF Changs, and The Cheesecake Factory. Our stay was a great value for the price paid. We stayed in a room the first night that had two double beds and I would not have enjoyed our stay nearly as much if the hotel had not agreed to move us to a different room the second night for the remainder of our stay. Our second room was much nicer and had the king size bed we wanted. FYI - this hotel has very FEW king size beds available!

This is our fourth time at the Park Shore in Waikiki. We enjoy the convenience of being close to the beach and most of the shopping in Waikiki. It is a basic room. We had a king bed that was very comfortable. No micro but did have a refrigerator. It is a good value for the money.

We did have to ask for the king bed because they had assigned us a queen. They were able to locate one and it was on the 18th floor. The elevators were very acceptable considering we were that far up.

We did notice that the staff was more hospitable and helpful. Checking in was good except for having to make the bed change. Checking out was quick. We enjoyed the free local newspaper every day.

Highly recommend this hotel. Service was excellent- better than expected. Great location in Waikiki- beautiful beach and views. Enjoyed time spent at the pool, beach, and relaxing on the balcony. Expensive, but worth it.

Our family of 6 (43 to 8 yrs.old) loved the convenience and hospitality of this resort. Pool and hottub were opened long hours and beach was a short walk away. The full buffet breakfast was great to start the day. The kids loved the Manager's Reception in the evening with live music. They never needed to eat dinner. This hotel was a great deal especially when you factor in the meals. We also liked that you had to use a key to activate the elevator. It made us feel safer. The shopping and eatting options were very good all around the hotel. Even though you had to valet park, it was a flat rate for the day no matter how many times you took your car in and out. It was also always quick.

We checked in, and after we told the front desk we were on our honeymoon, they upgraded our room to a nicer one. Their service was spectacular. I would recommend it to anyone.

I had two issues on arrival at 1:30pm. First, there were no more non-smoking rooms so they put me in smoking, and the second, when I got to the room the key did not work so I had to haul everything back down to the front desk. Turned out the room was not at all smokey as feared and we got the key to work. The hotel is actually very good and well-located for ease of transportation, tho it is about a 20 minute walk to the heart of Waikiki. I actually prefer to stay away from Waikiki as I go there on business. One note for your info, there is no bar open in the hotel after 8:30pm.

Location and acess was everything. Prompt shuttle X 2 going and coming from Airport. Nice Continental Breakfast that was listed on reservation as no breakfast served. Rooms clean adequate typical for a three star hotel. For money spent and time there a 4.5 or very good rating.

We spent 6 nights at the circle in Dec 08. The price was incredible for the location!. Granted it is a low frills establishment when you compare it to the chains that surround the same area. But considering how little time you should be spending in your hotel when you're visiting Hawaii, do you really need all of those frills? The room was kept clean, we were always rolling in fresh towels. They supply beach towels, rafts, body boards and beach toys as well. You can walk to just about anywhere you'd want to go on Waikiki, including prime beach spots just across the street.

The only real problem we had was one day the bathroom wasn't restocked with toiletries. One phone call took care of that.

The staff was friendly, the beds were great, even though we were on a lower floor the street noise was well controlled, only 600 meters to the beach, two Starbucks in view of the front door and more food choices than we could use up in a week within a stone's throw.

Lots of Australians there.

I would recommend after the recent hotel upgrades are complete.
I had a paint grinder loudly go off in the adjoining room at around 8:30 AM daily except Sat & Sunday mornings.
This might not be annoying to early birds. Unfortunetly I am not an early bird and enjoy sleeping in while on vacation.
