Reviews Of Apex City of London, London,

Review by: Volker, Duesseldorf, Germany

Just a short walk from underground and bus station. Very light and nice decorated rooms. We stayed in the new building. Staff was very friendly - breakfast was nice. It is located in a business district, therefore no restaurants open in the evening. But we would still recommend it.

Definitely recommend. Close to Thames, Tower Of London, excellent travel connections.
Breakfast is extremely good - fresh fruit, yogurts, French pastries, Expresso-machine coffees, cheeses, etc
Good value for money with well-appointed rooms; toiletries are excellent - no need to bring anything - well, apart from shaving stuff!
Only niggle: checked-in late and was given a twin-room although a double was booked, and this without comment by reception staff - not good. Honesty with guests is essential! Mistake was sorted out, albeit following day, and complimentary wine offered by way of compensation - appreciated.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Everthing was cleverly designed for maximum convenience and luxury.

Great value for the money.

Our expectations were exceeded.

we stayed here for a week-end leisure break, running the London Marathon among other things. No quibbles what so ever. clean , modern, good sized bedrooms, bathroom had large shower and bath, continental breakfast as good as any, and staff seemed helpful and pleasant. very handy for tower hill tube/towerhill gateway to DLR. Nice to escape the frenzy of the West-End after a night out, to the relative peace and quiet of the City(at week-end). Would definately use this hotel again

That this is a 3 star amazes me. The standard of the bedroom was excellent both in terms of style and comfort. The bathroom was bright and modern with a separate shower and bath. And lots of amenities - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, iron...I'd stay there any time.

We stayed at the Apex for 4 nights and really loved it, we have been staying at a lot of the high class hotels and this one can certainly compete with them.

Great helpfull staff
Clean and wellbalanced interior design
Perfect location, a 3 minutes walk to the Tower of London
Close to St. Katherine's dock, visit the Dickens Inn
St. Pauls Cathedral at a 15 to 20 minute walk
Thames Path, 3 minutes walk from the hotel, enjoy it
It is in the center of the "old" financial district
Lots of nice pubs
The hotel restaurant is excellent, good breakfast and lunch
Lots of restaurants nearby
Do NOT visit restaurant Chez Gerard, they cook bad food
Station Liverpool street at a 15 minute walk

Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will return here next time we visit London, we hope you enjoy it also!

The Apex City, London is a lovely hotel. Continental breakfast was excellent, the rooms were well appointed and clean, and Tower Hill tube station is only a few minutes away. The best part of the hotel was the staff. I had a child with me and we were made to feel really welcome and were very well looked after.

This hotel is in an excellent location - 2 minutes from the tube. Loads of good bars and restaurants close by and if you walk across Tower Bridge (10 mins) there's a lovely selection of waterside bars and restaurants. The rooms are sleek and modern. The bathrooms have fab power showers and heated mirrors - nice touch! Staff very efficient and friendly. We had the continental breakfast which was superb.
I would totally reccomend this hotel for leisure or business. It's refreshing to find such a gem in London.
