Highly recommend the Athenaeum. Everything was to a very high standard and the view from our room on the 9th floor was amazing - we could see the Eye and the roof of Buckingham Palace. Only thing we could find fault with was the bed was small - a standard double. The jacuzzi in the Spa was just the thing to soothe tired feet at the end of a busy day. All the soft drinks and snacks in the mini bar in the room were complimentary which we thought was a nice touch. It was expensive to have a drink in the bar - but what do you expect in 5 star surroundings? The breakfast was so nice we had to go for a walk to build up an appetite! Would definately stay again and would ask for a room at the front of the hotel to get the view.

Just about all the facilities you could want in an excellent location. The choice and quality of food and drink is, as you would expect, very good. The thing that marks this hotel out however is the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff.

Highly recommended, we would certainly look to rebook the next time we are staying in London.

I was warmly welcomed, the bedroom was not huge but nicely laid out and furnished, it was very quiet and all the staff were very friendly and efficient. I didnt use many facilities so cannot comment on that.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay here. It's a great location for central london and the hotel itself is of a high standard, with excellent lounge and bar. The room was a little small, no less than one would expect for a central London hotel and was comforable and well decorated. The hotel staff were exceptionally nice - very frinedly, professional and helpful. An excellent place to stay either on business or for pleasure.

Obviously any 5 star hotel you expect to be good & the skkosh price was excellent but although not a regular 5 * hotel stayer this was good but I've been in better.
For some reason you're escorted to your room by a receptionist but they then don't tell you about the overly complex light system in the room which is pointless.
Continental breakfast was excellent & overall well worth the amount paid.
