Great location beside Waterloo station and close to London Eye, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament. Hotel very modern design with excellent rooms only minor issue we had was the noise from the air conditioning - control in room did not appear to work. Conteniental breakfast excellent selection, Hotel staff very good and friendly. Would stay here again and would recommend this hotel. If looking for coffee and snacks try the cafe in the Royal Festival Hall - very good. Also Neds Noodle Bar at the County Hall very good and inexpensive for quick food.

Excellent location and value for money. Clean, new rooms with lovely bathrooms, tea/coffee/fridge (in some rooms a microwave!) Excellent breakfast
Downsides are some of the staff who are a little surly and neglectful, insufficient lifts at peak times - a 10 minute wait on floor 5 during which 3 completely full lifts stopped!, and we recommend getting to breakfast for 8.15 at weekends as any time after that there is a massive queue

The good: The location is superb, walkable to many locations. The rooms are clean and functional, full sized bed, comfortable bathroom with bath and shower. We had a TV, a fridge with a section for our drinks, and a kettle with a supply of coffee, tea and sugar. Our party had two rooms, ours had a microwave but the other room did not. Breakfast was varied and good quality, . There were plenty of tables up to 8am, but soon after queues developed.
The bad: Some staff were sloppy, we were given the wrong room number at check in and had to return from the 13th floor to get the correct one, and at lunch we were given a small glass of wine in place of a large and had to insist it was remeasured. Lifts get busy at times, visiting all floors on way down was time consuming

We stayed at this hotel from 19 Sep 2008 until 23rd Sep 2008. We were given free upgrade to executive room which was spacious with a separate sitting area. Staff were good. Location was excellenr - 2 minutes from the Eye and 5 mins to walk over Westminister Bridge.
Only slight downside was the Breakfast was crowed and the Full English breakfast buffet was very slow.
Would definately recommend and would stay here again.

Pros: Location, it's new Cons: Hotel Staff not as friendly/approachable as expected, Elevators are extremely slow certain hours of the day, fire alarms always going off when there is no fire, housekeeping staff is loud during the morning hours The room I ended up with was probably one of the smallest hotel room's I've stayed in. The window didn't face the outside of the building, but instead the "atrium" area of the hotel. I had to keep my shades shut so people walking down the hallways across the hotel or going up in the elevators couldn't look in. I also found that someone was always cranking up the thermostat in my room and one day came back to a hotel maintenance man at my door responding to a call (i didn't make) that the A/C in my room was broken. Turned out it was just the thermostat turned up again.
