Room Mate Mario is a 3 star hotel in Madrid.
Opened in 2000 and renovated in 2005, the hotel originally had 30 rooms. It was then renovated and redesigned by the highly respected designer Tomas Alía, and increased in size by 24 rooms. The designer impressed Madrid society with his innovative concept of ""cheap & chic"". The bold colours in the rooms are in contrast to the ones in the reception, and give the hotel its own personality.
The unique hallways are black and white with translucent panels. Facilities on offer in the air-conditioned hotel include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a music and reading area in the lobby, a hotel safe, lifts, a breakfast room ""Living Room"", and WLAN Internet access. There is also a laundry service available, rounding off the facilities offered at the hotel.
Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It is not fancy, but very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need--and it all works. It is well located and serves a good breakfast.

This is an excellent hotel, centrally located in a quiet street.
The rooms are somewhat small but perfectly adequate and comfortable and, like the rest of the hotel, spotlessly clean.
The staff are English speaking, very friendly and helpful, breakfast is excellent and runs until noon. English papers are available on the day, and there is free internet access.
The ideal hotel for a break in Madrid - highly recommended.

Me and my girlfriend spent the weekend in Madrid and not only was the hotel in an amazing location - easy to get to, right near the main centre, and great places to eat and enjoy the scenary.. we walked everywhere the whole weekend and only used the metro to get back and from the airport.
Inside the hotel, it was the most unique and lovely hotel I have ever been to - not like your typical hotel and to us, it really was amazing!!!!
Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delish!!! Muy bien!!!
