At this hotel conviviality and comfort have been transformed into an art form. Its restaurants and bars provide the perfect setting for relaxing and socialising and offer refined French and traditional Moroccan cuisine with the latest in fusion dishes from around the world. Renovated in 2009, the residence features 181 rooms and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and lift access. Guests may also take advantage of an on-site shop, a newspaper stand, a café and conference facilities. WLAN Internet access, laundry service and a car park are additionally provided (the latter two for a fee). Located in the heart of the renowned and dynamic residential area of Gueliz, the hotel is right next to the famous Djemaa el Fna square and the Medina. Just 15 minutes from Menara International Airport (approximately 4 km), the hotel offers immediate access to the centre of the city. The hotel offers guests use of a sauna (for a fee), a hammam and a gym (for a fee) in their leisure time. The establishment has two swimming pools, including one indoor and a separate children's swimming area. Guests may enjoy the sun terrace for a fee, where parasols have been laid out for use. Massage and spa treatments are provided for a fee. A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning, whilst lunch and dinner may be enjoyed buffet-style or as set menus.

Well equipped, helpful staff, well located.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — As with all North African hotels, the star rating is optimistic, i find removing 1 star is a more accurate grading. However, the Meriem has everything you need at decent value, is conveniently situated and staff are helpful. I recommend requesting a room in the rear building behind the pool which are infinitely better than those at the front, which if facing the street, are horribly noisy. I would also add that this hotel is well located for Ville Nouvelle and especially the train station, though the main square (Djemma el Fna) is a 25 min walk or 2 quid taxi. Finally, since I was traveling around quite a bit, it was extremely useful to leave baggage there, which they did for me 3 times.

pretty good value Meriem

Would recommend if you don't mind not staying close to the medina. Marrakech ia a very walkable city and small taxis are cheap.

Beautiful Maroccan Hotel

2 of 3 people found the following review helpful — Good location close to nice restaurants and bars in the new town, close enough to the medina to walk there in 20 minutes. Lovely pool area and garden, clean room, exceeded expectations, excellent value for money. breakfast included (served between 0630 and 0930) but not of a very high quality and a bit too early for us!
