Had a great time, but $18 drinks and $24 burgers were stupid.

If you want to go to South Beach to enjoy the stylish culture, enjoy the sun and hang out with an attractive & fun crowd, then the Shore Club should be on your short list of places to stay. The pool is wonderful and the beach is great. Hotel design (both in common areas and rooms) is minimalist but very stylish. Also, the location is great... all main places in South Beach are 15 minute max walk, and some are a couple blocks away. Finally, the Shore Club backs to the paved pathway in South Beach, so just step outside the back entrance of the hotel and go for a wonderful jog. Gym is very nice too.

Shore Club is NOT the place for families, anyone looking for total peace and quiet or a very young or very old crowd. Most people there are mid 20s to mid 40s.

great hotel design -- clean modernism right on the beach. Lots of noisy partying around the pool. A bit frayed around the edges.

We stayed at The Shore Club last weekend. This is the place to stay if you have no interest in sleeping. The floors are aggregate concrete "tile" (as are the hallways), so voices / high heel steps from the hallways are no different than if they were standing in your room. The very busy nightclub/outdoor patio areas go at full volume until..... I think it was 5am. Much to our chagrin, our 1pm complaint call to the front desk proved fruitless. Did I mention we were wearing construction grade earplugs?
If you want to party, stay here. We regret not staying at The National, just a few hotels away.

Great place to stay if you're single/in your 20s. Otherwise, avoid. It's very loud with all floors in rooms and hallways made of stone. Pool and bars are a lot of fun and staying in hotel gets you in for free, which is the main reason to stay here, but totally inappropriate for families/young children which didn't stop some from staying there. Other than party scene, hotel itself is a little disappointing for the money. Showers are weird (drain in bathroom floor) and front desk staff is amateurish (I had another person staying with me who was arriving later and they were unprepared for him even though I left his name, key, and pool pass at the front desk for him).

the service was great...the pool, skybar, and nobu wonderful.....the rooms need plenty of work....thank god we drank heavily cause the beds are so uncomfortable. the value of the room for miami was great...anywhere elsase would be considered a rip off. but you dont stay at the shore club to stay in the room...definitely for the scene

I was at the Shore Club a few days the hurricane hit Miami and it was great. The weather was nice and the staff was great and the other guest were very nice. When the hurricane hit I had a lick in my room and they moved me and they took care of my bill because of some water damage to my personal items. They were very customer friendly!

Good rooms, nice beach (you have to paid for the umbrellas 15.00), everything very expensive, each drink in the pool around 16 dollars...

If the money is not a problem, this is the place in miami beach....

Miami in the summer is pretty dead - the Shore Club (esp on the weekend) is pretty lively. Standard rooms are standard - beware those who do not considered concrete an acceptable floor finish. The entire Shore Club is clad in a nicely finished concrete block (much nicer than it sounds). That's what room slippers are for. Had a good experience at check in & out - very acccomodating and helpful - despite many of the reviews out there. Nice touches include clean, crisp linens (might be stark to some, but white is clean with enough bleach), rain shower, excellent beach amenities (you get chairs standard, but an umbrella will run you $16/day), and fun pools and pool decks with Miami's finest on display. Downsides include: spotty room cleaning (one day cleaned during the day, the next not, some days night turn down, just random), pricey food options (surprise!)
