Location
The hotel is located in Midtown Manhattan, just steps from Times Square and within walking distance of theatres, the Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, shopping and dining, and is centrally located for business or pleasure. This is an exciting place to stay in the heart of New York City. Facilities The hotel was built in 1931 in the same grand Art Deco style as Radio City Music Hall. It offers all the comforts of home with its 790 rooms including 37 suites as well as fitness and laundry facilities (for a fee). The air-conditioned establishment features a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, lift access, a café, a bar and a restaurant. For an additional fee guests may make use of the wireless Internet access. Rooms Guest rooms in this hotel are designed to accommodate either business guests or holidaymakers. They are equipped with wireless Internet access, in-room movies, a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower and bathtub. Further standard amenities include double beds, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a radio and individually regulated air conditioning and heating. Sports/Entertainment At the end of a busy day, guests can head to the gym on the 23rd floor, or relax with a meal in one of the hotel's dining areas. Guests may also opt to relax in the lounge with good conversation and a cocktail. Meals A continental breakfast is served each morning at the hotel and set menu lunch and dinner are offered. Payment American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and VISA are accepted as methods of payment. Misc. Valet parking is available for hotel guests at a charge. Guests have to be at least 21 years old to check in. How to get there From New Jersey, coming through/out of the Lincoln Tunnel follow the signs for 42nd Street. Turn left onto 10th Avenue. Turn right onto 10th Avenue and drive up to 48th Street, where a right turn should be made onto 48th Street. Take 48th straight over to Broadway or 7th Avenue and turn right one block to 47th Street. Another right and the hotel will be on the left centre block. Please be advised that there is a smoking fine. |
