Franklin Hotel

A really brilliant hotel in a great location. The staff were always helpful; everything clean. The bed was most comfortable. Breakfasts of a Continental type only (nothing hot) but of a good and varied kind. My husband and I were completely happy but there was one gripe which applied to most New York buildings...it was a bit too hot for us. However the windows did open so that is how we managed our room temperature. definitely added more to our Christmas trip than just a place to sleep.

Just spent three nights at this wonderful little Upper East Side hotel where the rooms are small but the ambiance is huge.

If you need a place to stay for a few nights, the Franklin should be towards the top of your list. The beds are extremely comfortable, the staff couldn't be any friendlier... and the wine and cheese in the evening and the European breakfast in the morning just hit the spot.

This will be a 'home-away-from-home' destination for us.

Very nice, real, local East Side location. Residential, but near bars, restaurants (Cafe D'Alsace). Small rooms, but great breakfast, shower & toiletries. Computer avalible, For more than few days, room small and no storage space. A great NYC "getaway".

This very small hotel (only 51 rooms) is located on the Upper East Side of New York, in the same neighborhood as the Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museums, and within three blocks of Central Park. There are only six rooms per floor, and a couple of those rooms are very tiny. However, the beds in the Franklin are perhaps the most comfortable hotel beds in all of New York. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the free continental breakfast each morning is wonderful. I recommend The Franklin, and will certainly stay there again.

We stayed 2 evenings at the Franklin in June.

The hotel is very charming and European. The reviews we read were right on target.

The standard room is small with no place to but a suitcase. For 2 nights and with 2 people I would suggest the larger room.

I would consider this hotel again if we could get the larger room

For a single traveler this would have been a great deal.
