the rooms are like cells, and i've paid 500 dollars for one, very poor breakfast, not quite good the area, won't recommend it to anyone.

I used to live in NYC and felt that this hotel used to look much nicer. Needs some updating to the hallways and entrance area (escalator). We got a sweet deal from Skoosh, so regardless, it was tough to complain. The room was very tiny, but very clean. You can hardly sit down on the bathroom toilet since there is no room for your legs and the wall is right in your face.
On the bright side, the concierge was great, service was great. I would go back to this hotel, but would not pay the $350 per night listed on the hotel web site.

the staff at the Hudson is absolutely one of the best I've had the pleasure to be around. my wife and I travel for a living and your staff is one of the best we've ever seen, hands down. that's world around. we loved it. second time we've stayed there. GREAT!!

Young adults interested in night life.

Location great, affordable, rooms small, but fun.

Service slow and not at all, when the TV wouldn't work.

Lines at the desk lengthy - especially in the evening when my key malfunctioned and needed to be remagnetized(twice!).

Rooms not ready when I arrived at correct time (3 pm).

In spite of air conditioning hum and weather proof window, I could hear the bar crowd into the wee hours of the morning.

I would not stay there again.

hotel is fine - location works ... rooms and hall could use an overhaul - cleaning - painting - it was fine - no need to go back ... its trend has seen better days!

Yes - cheap and lively. Though, expect verey small rooms.

i had never heard of the hudson, but did various searches on multiple sites and happened upon it. the style of the hotel is very cool and modern, which my fiance and i both love. the rooms are definitely small, but very cozy and comfortable. our bed wasn't super comfortable, but i have talked to a friend since returning who also happened to stay there, and she said her bed was fine. so, maybe we just got a bad one? other than that, everything was wonderful! it's very conveniently located off of columbus circle, near central park, 5th ave., and just a few blocks from times square. plus, there is a subway station right across the street which made it unbelievably simple to go anywhere we wanted. and there are a lot of great restaurants nearby!
