The room, although small, was clean and upscale. One member in our party was located near the elevator and complained about the noises the elevator made at night. My room was located further away and I had no problems. I suggest guests request a room away from the elevators and on a high floor, to avoid unwelcomed noise. I also liked: 1.) The location -- 2 blocks from all the shopping at Union Square!; 2.) The continental breakfast, and; 3.) The wine tasting at 5 PM each night (With quality, California wines). |

Comfortable old world style lobby. Warm, enthusiastic service. Love the complimentary coffee in the a.m. and wine hour in the lobby. Cramped rooms and baths. Really comfortable beds! Hallways a little rough around the edges. Not a five star establishment, but not a five star price. Good location, but neighborhood deteriorates quickly -- don't walk west. Safe and easy walk to Union Square. Prefer the Monaco on the same block, but this is a better bargain. |

The hotel staff were very nice; the morning coffee was strong; the location was convenient. Our room was small, but clean. I'd recommend for those who want to stay downtown in a hotel that isnt too huge and generic. |

I really liked this place. The rooms were very well appointed. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The price was great for the quality. The only complaint I have is that the rooms were pretty small, but I think that's more about the hotel being in San Francisco than anything else. I would highly recommend staying here. |

I enjoyed my stay at the Serrano. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are pleasant and the hotel has a "old world atmosphere". The locality is central, a easy walk to Union Square. |
