**Members Only Hotel**

We booked this hotel after reading great reviews! And they were right. The staff were very friendly, the room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom looked new.

We had other friends staying in a hotel near by for a similar price - based on this I would say the Carlton is very good value for money.

The only disappointing thing is that there was no fridge in the room - however, this is probably due to the hotel's green policy (apparently it is carbon neutral). But with plenty of free ice and a clean sink we improvised.

If you are looking for a clean, centrally located hotel with quirky charm stay at the Carlton.

We liked the Hotel Carlton. Our room was bright and cute and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bus lines were easy to get to, and there were tons of good restaurants in the immediate area, especially a few blocks up Polk St. We paid about $100 a night after tax, which I think is pretty good for SF, especially since it was a pleasant experience. Enjoy it!

it was extremely noisy. We could hear the street noise as well everything going on in the next room and the hallways. The housekeeping did not come on time. When we requested to be moved to a different room on account of the noise from the neighbor, we were told that no other room was available. Because we could not stand it anymore, we decided to leave, at that time we were offered a room... too late though!

Clean room with a great view. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Central location, great price....all in all we'd highly recommend it!

The Carlton was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and did everything to assist you. The room looked exactly what we expected from the pictures on the site. The bathroom was a nice surprise. Very clean and stylish. The only flaw I would say about the hotel is the location. The location is a bit dingy at night. Expect to see some tranny prostitutes close to the hotel street!
