I would recommend the hotel to others. I really wanted to try something different because all the hotels seem to offer something unique, but all my research always led me back to the Galleria. The price has gone up since I stayed there last in 2006; however, they have done some renovations since last I stayed. The lobby has a brighter decor, the elevators are new and larger, and best of all the rooms seem brighter and more up to date. The beds are too soft for my taste, but the pillows were great. I like the roof top park/garden for a nice late night cigar since most of the hotels in San Fran are non smoking. The staff is very friendly and the location is the best aspect. The hotle is a must try.
