Although rooms did show a little wear and tear the accommodations were clean & comfortable. The bed sheets were high quality. Avoid lower level rooms facing Howe St. as the windows don't block much traffic noise. We were on the 5th floor facing the back lane which was quieter although the garbage truck momentarily woke us up at an early hour. Otherwise no complaints. Noise from adjacent rooms was not noticeable. The restaurant has a good variety on its menu and prices were mid range. There's also a White Spot restaurant within one block of the hotel as well as others. Granville Island which can be reached by the nearby Aquabus ferry has a wide variety of dining opportunities. Tony's Oysters & Fish is recommended if you like seafood. The ferry was $5.00 per person for return fare. The Skytrain terminal was also closeby enabling us to go most anywhere. |

Good room, good restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is situated on the edge of downtown about 20 minutes walking from most parts. Granville island market only 10 minutes away by little ferry across False creek. We were initially given a room at front of hotel overlooking an old hotel being demolished but asked for one at the back of hotel which we were given. The location is a bit iffy but there are two other good hotels nearby sharing the same area so it can,t be that bad can it? |
